Divorce or separation creates
some of the most excrutiatingly painful experiences faced by Christians
and non-Christians alike.
To provide an opportunity for healing,
this ministry named "DivorceCare"
has been established at Grace
Baptist Church.
The program lasts 13 weeks and
is designed specifically for separated or divorced adults in our community.
It consists of a Biblically based
DVD series, covering a variety of topics such as Depression, Anger, Loneliness
and more.

The group meetings are conducted
weekly every Wednesday in the Church Library.
The program at Grace Baptist began
in the fall of 2002 and since then well over 100 people have attended the
sessions.
DivorceCare sessions are conducted
every 13 weeks on a year-round basis, and the program continues in 2006.
It is not necessary to start
attendance at any specific time. The sessions are designed to allow for
participation at any time.
Items in the series that are missed
can be made up during any following 13 week period.

A fellowship time begins at 6:30
PM, to allow for registration and chat.
The actual sessions begin promptly
at 7:00 PM and ends at 8:30 PM.
Participants are provided with
a study guide/workbook.
Following each video presentation
there is plenty of time for small group interaction and discussion.
There is no charge for the sessions
but a free will contribution is always appreciated to help offset costs
of the program.

Special Program for Families, Friends!
Parents, brothers, sisters or close friends of
an adult that is suffering with the pain of divorce or separation are often
unsure about providing support and understanding?
Divorce can happen in any family and Christians
are affected at nearly the same rate as non-Christians. Many Christian
family members or friends have no idea as to what is needed.
FamilyCare
may be just what you need! It is conducted as a three-hour group
seminar or two, one and one half hour group sessions.

Why does divorce hurt so much?
What is marriage?
The need for grief
Recovery roadblocks
Can healing truly occur?
What role do I have?
What mistakes can be made?
How do I help someone the most?
