Mike Cortez, Director of Children's Ministries

Personal Testimony

Our church was hosting a revival crusade during the spring from Life Action Ministries. I had attended much of the crusade and it’s events and the Holy Spirit was really working on my heart at that time. Then later in the summer Pat Kelly came to speak at our church, at that time I realized my need for a relationship with Jesus Christ and asked Him into my life and to forgive me of my sins. My passion is to continue serving Him and striving to live my life solely for His glory.

As Director of Children's Ministries, Mike loves uilding relationships with the kids.  He says, "Hopefully I model what the Christian life is like in my daily interactions with them.  I just love getting to know each one of them, their activities and interests, and what makes them tick."

Mike loves the outdoors.  He loves to go hunting and fishing whenever he has the time. Hunting is probably his favorite activity, especially archery hunting.  He also really enjoys competitive archery shooting.  He played soccer growing up and into college, and still plays occasionally when he can play with indoor soccer leagues.  Mike's entire family loves to go camping and hiking.
